Mr. Valencia is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The Top Trial Lawyers in America. He is also a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 - an invitation only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state who meet stringent qualifications as civil plaintiff trial attorneys. Mr. Valencia's legal background focuses primarily on Litigation and Trial Advocacy. One cannot argue with success. Mr. Valencia prevailed against Playboy Entertainment Group by proving to a Los Angeles jury that Playboy sexually harassed plaintiff, and that Playboy also failed to prevent the harassment.  Morgan Lewis was on the Defense. After the jury trial against Playboy, Mr. Valencia, and co-counsel Mrs. Cywinska Valencia recovered more than $3 million dollars in the LA Superior Court in another sexual harassment jury trial.  That jury verdict was featured in the Daily Journal's "Top Verdicts"

In addition to success at the trial level, Mr. Valencia has also attained multiple reversals at the Appellate level. Specifically, the Fourth Appellate District, Division Two, reversed the superior court in Valle v. Washington Mutual Bank. (Case No. E045930). In addition, the Fourth Appellate District, Division Three (Orange County), reversed the trial court after a three week jury trial. (Case No. G041375). 

Mr. Valencia attained yet another victory in the Court of Appeal (4th District, Div. 3, G046132 versus Monex Credit Company), and also gave oral argument before the California Supreme Court in the matter Baltazar v. Forever 21, Inc.  The Court of Appeal recently issued a published decision, Bareno v. San Diego Community College District, where the Court again agreed with Valencia & Cywinska, and reversed the trial court.

Furthermore, Los Angeles Superior Court appointed VALENCIA & CYWINSKA as Sole Class Counsel for a Class Action in Excess of 1000 Members. After 3 Years of Litigation, the Court Granted Final Approval.

Mr. Valencia graduated from Northwestern University where he attained Dean's List Honors. Following Northwestern University, Mr. Valencia attended Loyola Law School. While at Loyola, Mr. Valencia worked at the Los Angeles District Attorneys Office, in particular the Family Violence Special Unit, where he played a part in trying a death penalty case before Judge Lance Ito. Mr. Valencia assisted in both jury selection and evidentiary tactics.

Prior to law school, Mr. Valencia attended Officer Candidate School with the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia. In Mr. Valencia's leisure time, he spends time with his family.  He also runs marathons, with a personal best of 3 hours 25 minutes. He has successfully completed both the Los Angeles Marathon, as well as the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach.  Mr. Valencia is admitted to practice in both federal and state jurisdictions in California.
